for A.F.D.
slowly, so slowly we grow to become... masque of
acceptance for what has gone before
even as the twilight caresses each day.. clinging,
huddled against the night, huddled against the might of a million stars
each holding a secret of yesterday.. casting shadows in blackness, laughing,
mocking..so certain we will not fight... kicking screaming we run, chase
the dawn, hands locked like puzzling childrens games, never to part..yet
never to fit quite right again... we run, chase the dawn of a silent absolution...
